이 방침은 Android용 CastFi(com.ghostseller.castfi)와 Windows용 CastFi에 함께 적용됩니다.
This policy covers CastFi for Android (com.ghostseller.castfi) and CastFi for Windows.
요약. CastFi는 음악 재생과 음향 보정을 위한 앱입니다. 음악 파일과 라이브러리 색인은 기기 안에만 있고 서버로 올리지 않습니다. 계정을 만들지 않으며 이름 · 이메일 · 전화번호를 요구하지 않습니다. 익명 사용 통계와 오류 자동 제보는 앱 설정에서 각각 끌 수 있습니다.
1. 수집하지 않는 정보
CastFi는 다음을 수집하지 않습니다.
- 이름 · 이메일 주소 · 전화번호 · 생년월일 등 개인 식별 정보 (앱 이용에 계정이 필요하지 않습니다)
- 주소록 · 통화 기록 · 문자 메시지
- 위치 정보(GPS · 정밀 위치 · 대략적 위치)
- 마이크 · 카메라 · 사진 및 동영상
- 광고 식별자. 현재 CastFi Android 앱에는 광고가 포함되어 있지 않습니다.
- 어떤 곡을 언제 들었는지에 대한 개인 연계 기록
- 기기 고유의 하드웨어 식별자(IMEI · 광고 ID · MAC 주소 등)
2. 기기 안에서만 처리되는 정보
아래 정보는 기기 내부에 저장되며 외부로 전송되지 않습니다.
- 음악 파일 — 사용자가 직접 선택한 폴더의 오디오 파일만 읽습니다. 기기 전체를 자동으로 훑지 않습니다. 파일 자체는 어떤 경우에도 서버로 업로드되지 않습니다.
- 라이브러리 색인 — 제목 · 아티스트 · 앨범 · 재생 시간 · 파일 위치 등 음악 파일에서 읽은 정보로, 기기 내부 데이터베이스에만 저장됩니다.
- 설정 — 음향 보정 값, 재생목록, 화면 설정, 연결한 기기 목록 등.
앱을 삭제하거나 시스템 설정에서 앱 데이터를 삭제하면 위 정보는 함께 사라집니다.
3. 앱이 요청하는 권한
CastFi가 사용하는 권한과 그 이유입니다. 필요한 시점에만 요청하며, 허용하지 않아도 해당 기능만 사용할 수 없을 뿐 앱 전체가 잠기지는 않습니다.

알림 접근(선택 사항)
다른 음악 앱에서 재생 중인 곡을 CastFi 화면과 위젯에 표시하고 제어하려면 Android의 알림 접근 권한이 필요합니다. 이 권한은 시스템 설정에서 사용자가 직접 켜야 하며, CastFi는 이를 재생 중인 미디어 세션 정보(곡 제목 · 아티스트 · 재생 상태)를 읽고 재생을 제어하는 용도로만 사용합니다. 알림 내용은 저장하지도, 외부로 전송하지도 않습니다. 허용하지 않아도 CastFi 자체 재생과 나머지 기능은 정상 동작합니다.
4. 외부로 전송되는 정보
4-1. 가사와 영상 정보 조회
가사나 뮤직비디오를 사용할 때, 조회를 위해 곡 제목과 아티스트명이 외부 공개 서비스(가사 제공 서비스, 영상 서비스 등)에 전송됩니다. 사용자를 식별할 수 있는 정보는 함께 보내지 않으며, 해당 기능을 쓰지 않으면 전송도 일어나지 않습니다.
4-2. 익명 사용 통계 (선택 · 언제든 끌 수 있음)
기능 개선을 위해 익명 사용 통계를 수집합니다. 앱 설정에서 끌 수 있으며, 다음 항목만 전송됩니다.
- 이벤트 이름(예: 앱 실행) 및 발생 시각
- 무작위로 생성된 설치 식별자 — 개인이나 기기를 식별하지 않는 임의의 값이며, 앱을 삭제하거나 앱 데이터를 지우면 사라지고 다음 설치 때는 다른 값이 됩니다
- 30분 동안 사용이 없으면 새로 생성되는 세션 식별자
- 운영체제 종류와 버전, 앱 버전, 언어 설정
이 데이터는 CastFi가 직접 운영하는 수신 서버로 전송되며, 계정 정보나 사용자가 보낸 문의와 연결하지 않습니다.
수신 서버는 접속 지점을 기준으로 국가 코드 두 자리(예: KR)만 기록합니다.
판단할 수 없으면 XX로 기록하며, IP 주소 · 도시 · 지역명 · 위경도 · 통신사 정보는 저장하지 않습니다.
IP는 국가 판단에만 쓰이고 어떤 형태로도 보관되지 않습니다.
4-3. 오류 자동 제보 (선택 · 언제든 끌 수 있음)
앱이 예기치 않게 종료된 경우, 원인 파악을 위해 오류 종류와 발생 위치 요약, 앱 · 운영체제 버전이 전송됩니다. 위 4-2와 동일한 익명 식별자를 사용하며, 개인 정보나 음악 파일 내용은 포함되지 않습니다. 사용 통계와 별개로 끌 수 있습니다.
4-4. 사용자가 직접 보내는 문의와 제보
앱 안에서 문제를 제보하거나 의견을 보내면, 사용자가 작성한 내용과 원인 파악에 필요한 앱 · 기기 환경 정보(앱 버전, 운영체제 버전, 기기 모델 등)가 함께 전송됩니다. 전송은 사용자가 직접 보내기를 누를 때만 이루어집니다. 이 데이터는 Supabase Inc.가 제공하는 인프라에 저장되며, 문의 응대와 결함 수정 목적으로만 사용합니다.
5. 기기 사이의 연결
같은 Wi-Fi의 PC · 네트워크 플레이어 · NAS와 주고받는 음악과 제어 신호는 기기 사이에서 직접 오갑니다. CastFi의 서버를 거치지 않으며, 그 내용은 외부에 저장되지 않습니다.
집 밖에서 자신의 PC에 연결하는 원격 기능을 사용하는 경우, 두 기기가 서로를 찾기 위한 연결 정보만 중개 서버를 거치며, 음악 데이터 자체는 사용자의 두 기기 사이에서 직접 전송됩니다. 이 기능은 사용자가 직접 기기를 등록했을 때만 동작합니다.
6. 외부 음악 서비스
Windows용 CastFi에서 Spotify · YouTube Music · Apple Music 등 외부 음악 서비스를 이용하는 경우, 로그인은 각 서비스에 직접 이루어지며 해당 서비스의 개인정보 처리방침이 적용됩니다. CastFi는 사용자의 로그인 정보를 자체 서버로 전송하지 않습니다.
7. 제3자 제공
CastFi는 수집한 정보를 판매하지 않으며, 광고 목적으로 제3자에게 제공하지 않습니다. 서비스 운영에 필요한 범위에서 다음 사업자의 인프라를 이용합니다.
- Supabase Inc. — 사용자가 직접 보낸 문의 · 제보의 저장 및 처리
- 가사 · 영상 제공 서비스 — 곡 제목과 아티스트명 기반 조회 (해당 기능 사용 시)
8. 보관 기간과 삭제
- 기기에 저장된 정보(음악 색인 · 설정)는 앱을 삭제하거나 앱 데이터를 지우면 즉시 사라집니다.
- 익명 사용 통계와 오류 기록은 통계 목적으로 보관되며, 개인을 식별할 수 없어 개별 삭제 대상이 되지 않습니다. 수집을 원하지 않으면 앱 설정에서 끄면 이후 전송이 중단됩니다.
- 사용자가 직접 보낸 문의 · 제보는 응대가 끝난 뒤 보관 목적이 사라지면 삭제합니다. 그 전에 삭제를 원하면 support@castplan.net으로 요청해 주세요.
CastFi Android 앱은 계정을 만들지 않으므로 삭제할 계정도 없습니다. 앱을 삭제하면 기기에 남는 데이터가 없습니다.
9. 아동의 개인정보
CastFi는 아동을 주 대상으로 하는 앱이 아니며, 아동으로부터 의도적으로 개인정보를 수집하지 않습니다. 아동의 정보가 전송되었다고 판단되는 경우 위 문의처로 알려주시면 확인 후 삭제하겠습니다.
10. 방침의 변경
이 방침이 바뀌면 이 페이지에 개정 내용과 날짜를 게시합니다. 중요한 변경은 앱 안에서도 안내합니다.

In short. CastFi is an app for music playback and sound tuning. Your music files and library index stay on the device and are never uploaded. There is no account, and CastFi never asks for your name, email or phone number. Anonymous usage statistics and automatic crash reports can each be switched off in the app's settings.
1. What we do not collect
CastFi does not collect any of the following.
- Personal identifiers such as name, email address, phone number or date of birth — the app requires no account.
- Contacts, call logs or messages.
- Location of any kind (GPS, precise or approximate).
- Microphone, camera, photos or videos.
- Advertising identifiers. The CastFi Android app currently contains no advertising.
- Any record linking you personally to what you listened to and when.
- Persistent hardware identifiers (IMEI, advertising ID, MAC address and the like).
2. Information processed only on your device
The following stays on the device and is never transmitted.
- Music files — CastFi reads audio only from folders you select yourself. It does not scan the whole device automatically, and the files themselves are never uploaded to any server.
- Library index — title, artist, album, duration and file location read from your files, stored in a database inside the app.
- Settings — sound correction values, playlists, display preferences and the list of devices you have connected.
Uninstalling the app, or clearing its data in system settings, removes all of it.
3. Permissions the app requests
These are the permissions CastFi uses and why. Each is requested when it is actually needed; declining one disables only the related feature rather than locking the app.

Notification access (optional)
Android requires notification access before an app can show and control what another music app is playing. CastFi uses it only to read the active media session (track title, artist, playback state) and to send playback commands. Notification content is neither stored nor transmitted. Without this permission, CastFi's own playback and every other feature continue to work normally.
4. Information sent outside the device
4-1. Lyrics and video lookup
When you use lyrics or music video features, the track title and artist name are sent to public third-party services to perform the lookup. Nothing identifying you is sent with them, and no request is made if you do not use those features.
4-2. Anonymous usage statistics (optional, can be turned off)
To improve the app we collect anonymous statistics. This can be switched off in settings, and only the following is transmitted.
- The event name (for example, app opened) and the time it occurred.
- A randomly generated installation identifier — an arbitrary value that identifies neither you nor your device. It disappears when the app is uninstalled or its data cleared, and a different value is generated next time.
- A session identifier that is regenerated after 30 minutes of inactivity.
- Operating system name and version, app version, and language setting.
This data goes to a receiving server operated by CastFi and is not linked to any account or to messages you send us.
The server records a two-letter country code (for example KR) determined at the point of connection,
or XX when it cannot be determined. IP address, city, region, coordinates and carrier details are not stored.
The IP is used only to determine the country and is never retained in any form.
4-3. Automatic crash reports (optional, can be turned off)
If the app terminates unexpectedly, the error type, a summary of where it occurred, and the app and OS versions are sent so the fault can be found. It uses the same anonymous identifiers as 4-2 and contains no personal information and no content from your music files. It can be turned off separately from usage statistics.
4-4. Messages and reports you send yourself
When you report a problem or send feedback from inside the app, what you wrote is transmitted along with environment details needed to investigate (app version, OS version, device model). This happens only when you press send. The data is stored on infrastructure provided by Supabase Inc. and is used solely to answer you and to fix the defect.
5. Connections between your devices
Music and control signals exchanged with a PC, network player or NAS on the same Wi-Fi travel directly between the devices. They do not pass through a CastFi server and their content is not stored anywhere else.
If you use the remote feature to reach your own PC from outside your home, only the connection details the two devices need to find each other pass through an intermediary; the music itself is transferred directly between your two devices. The feature works only for devices you have registered yourself.
6. External music services
When CastFi for Windows is used with services such as Spotify, YouTube Music or Apple Music, you sign in to each service directly and that service's own privacy policy applies. CastFi does not send your sign-in details to any server of its own.
7. Sharing with third parties
CastFi does not sell the information it collects and does not share it with third parties for advertising. The following providers supply infrastructure needed to run the service.
- Supabase Inc. — storage and handling of messages and reports you send yourself.
- Lyrics and video providers — lookups by track title and artist name, when you use those features.
8. Retention and deletion
- Information stored on the device (library index, settings) disappears the moment you uninstall the app or clear its data.
- Anonymous statistics and crash records are retained for aggregate analysis. Because they cannot identify an individual, they cannot be deleted on request; turning the setting off stops any further transmission.
- Messages and reports you sent are deleted once they are no longer needed to answer you. To have them removed sooner, write to support@castplan.net.
The CastFi Android app creates no account, so there is no account to delete. Uninstalling leaves nothing behind on the device.
9. Children
CastFi is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child's information has been sent to us, contact us at the address above and we will verify and delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the revision and its date are published on this page. Significant changes are also announced inside the app.
